Not good. These were not good; the covers, however, were fantastic. I'm in the middle of reading the Gold Key series (not that it was fantastic either, but at least it was fun); maybe I'll give Dynamite another look.
Dark Shadows (1966-1971) was a soap opera with an emphasis on the supernatural that has garnered a cult following in the years since it left the air. The introduction of Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) catapulted the series to enormous success, capturing the public's imagination in a way that continues to endure today. This online fanzine will provide a place for rare photos, articles, stories, artwork, and other multimedia as a tribute to the magic and mystery that is Dark Shadows.

Hi, Laramie. Is there nay archive available of the entire comic strip? I'd love to read it all from the beginning, but I can't seem to find most of the stories.

ReplyDeleteHi Rich - not that I know of (fortunately or unfortunately). The first four issues are available in a collection (check Amazon) and the actually readable YEAR ONE (which is a misnomer) is likewise available. I bought them all as they came out, and you can probably still find them on Amazon or at Dynamite.com.
ReplyDeleteOh you're right - seems there are 23 issues on amazon.com of Dark Shadows Dynamite Commics. The covers DO look fascinating!
ReplyDeleteThe Dynamite Comics are available on ebay as well, some good prices too!
