Angelique (by Jok) (and Frame of Mind in Missoula, Montana)

I wrote recently about my acquisition of a gorgeous depiction of Angelique by artist Jok at the Dark Shadows Festival last month (you can read about it right here)  ... now my friend Amy Doty, owner of frame shop, art supply store, and gallery, Frame of Mind in our hometown of Missoula, Montana, framed it for me so it can hang in my writing room, where Mrs. Collins Collins Rumson Collins can offer me the evil eye while I work. Meeting Craig Hurd-McKenney and Jok and CURSE OF DARK SHADOWS and ...

 One of the highlights of last weekend's fest was meeting author Craig Hurd-McKenney, author of Curse of Dark Shadows, last year's graphic novel continuation of the series from Hermes Press, and artist Jok. I have been dying to meet them both, and they are SO VERY OF THE NICE. And generous! I mentioned that I had pre-ordered the CoDS revision that will be released this fall, and Craig asked me who my favorite character was. I told him Angelique, and he whipped out his phone, called up a photo of Ang from 1897, and Jok zapped me up a GORGINTA sketch. Y'all, it took him, like, five minutes or less. And it's the coolest thing ever.
