Dark Shadows 2012

I can't believe that it's been four years since I went to see Tim Burton's Dark Shadows feature the day of my brother-in-law's wedding.  I'm actually going to show it during a Tim Burton film study I'll have my advanced theatre class perform next fall; I realize that it's divisive among fans, which is one of the aspects I want my students to consider during their analysis.  There's a book of essays about Burton's work that came out this past Christmas that contains an interesting article about the 2012 Dark Shadows that I'm going to require them to read.

Dark Shadows 2012 DVD and Blu-Ray

Urgh ... looks like DVD player owners (like yours truly) are gonna be rather screwed when it comes to extras (like the deleted scenes) that will only be available on the Blu-Ray versions.  Sigh.  Anyway, here are the front and back cover art of the DVD version as well as the back of the Blu-Ray.
