Dark Shadows (1966-1971) was a soap opera with an emphasis on the supernatural that has garnered a cult following in the years since it left the air. The introduction of Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) catapulted the series to enormous success, capturing the public's imagination in a way that continues to endure today. This online fanzine will provide a place for rare photos, articles, stories, artwork, and other multimedia as a tribute to the magic and mystery that is Dark Shadows.

Barnabas vs. Cassandra
One of the elements I most enjoy about MPI's original video volumes of Dark Shadows was how they had to struggle to fill two hundred plus covers with content-appropriate photographs, many of them not in color. I love this particular shot from Volume 49, where Cassandra mostly stands around and she and Barnabas exchange meaningful glances. And, as all Cassandra fans know, that peignoir is not white in the slightest; it is green and purple and orange and covered in magical butterflies.
