After taking in the new(est) Carrie remake with DS alum Chloe Grace Moretz, my husband and our friends rushed back home to watch the original, not because the new version was terrible (it wasn't) but because the original was so fantastic and the new version was, frankly, a tad underwhelming. While watching the Sissy Spacek version, I remembered that Stefan Gierasch, the 1991 Professor Woodard/Joshua Collins, plays the not-so-on-top-of-his-game principal of Carrie's high school and who meets a fairly unpleasant fate at her telekinetic not-hands. Anyway, with Mr. Gierasch in mind (though he doesn't appear in any), here are a few more photos from the 1991 revival.
Dark Shadows (1966-1971) was a soap opera with an emphasis on the supernatural that has garnered a cult following in the years since it left the air. The introduction of Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) catapulted the series to enormous success, capturing the public's imagination in a way that continues to endure today. This online fanzine will provide a place for rare photos, articles, stories, artwork, and other multimedia as a tribute to the magic and mystery that is Dark Shadows.
