I picked this up at one of the Dark Shadows fests in the late 1990s. It's interesting that it showcases the original cover art for Angelique's Descent, utilizing a photo of Lara Parker from Night of Dark Shadows (featured in Kathy Resch's The Dark Shadows Companion). The snap of Angelique from NODS was replaced somewhere along the lines by a more va-va-voom photo of LP that seems more of an early 1970s glamor shot (and was also used as the cover of one of MPI's videos during the Leviathan sequence), and to be honest, I prefer the NODS shot. It's a moodier photo for sure, utilizing a pensive Angelique more in keeping with the character as she appears in the novel, and whom we never really see in the modern day.
Ah, well. Enjoy what might have been:
Dark Shadows (1966-1971) was a soap opera with an emphasis on the supernatural that has garnered a cult following in the years since it left the air. The introduction of Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) catapulted the series to enormous success, capturing the public's imagination in a way that continues to endure today. This online fanzine will provide a place for rare photos, articles, stories, artwork, and other multimedia as a tribute to the magic and mystery that is Dark Shadows.
