Dark Shadows (1966-1971) was a soap opera with an emphasis on the supernatural that has garnered a cult following in the years since it left the air. The introduction of Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) catapulted the series to enormous success, capturing the public's imagination in a way that continues to endure today. 1991: "She's Me!"
I'm rewatching the last 6 episode of the 91 series, the 1790 sequence, and enjoying myself immensely. Moments like this -- when Dan Curtis performed some camera trickery; shouldn't Lysette Anthony be blurry if she's in the background when filmed like this? -- make the whole thing worthwhile. Look at the expression on Angelique's face! She is, for some reason, also enjoying herself immensely, which makes little sense, since now there are two Josettes running about willy-nilly; but when did Dark Shadows ever make sense?
