Previously on Dark Shadows: The Comic Strip Series: Quentin and Angelique are trapped in what appears to be a parallel version of the 1850 they thought they recognized from the history books: the family, headed by impetuous Tad Collins, is in thrall to a mysterious room in the East Wing. After the ghost of Collinsport founder Isaac Collins appears to warn the family that they must hold a lottery to determine who will spend the night in the cursed room, Bramwell Collins' beloved Jessica is chosen. But Jessica, who resembles Angelique, is a blossoming witch, which is exactly what Isaac wants: someone with the power to release all the spirits of the dead he has trapped in that room and wedded to a demonic essence so that they might sweep through the world. But Isaac hasn't counted on the actual Angelique to appear...

 Previously on Dark Shadows: The Comic Strip Series: Through complicated plot permutations, Angelique and Quentin have found themselves trapped in what (may be) a parallel version of the 1851 they both (thought they) knew.  (A storyline closely resembling a storyline on the original series you thought you knew).  Oh, there's a cursed room and a lottery that must be held and two Wuthering Heights-esque star-crossed lovers who look an awful lot like Barnabas and Angelique. And the dead. The dead are very angry ... and they're not going to take it anymore ...

Previously on Dark Shadows: The Comic Strip Series:  An exorcism has torn Collinwood apart, and the only two people who remember the world as it once was (or, as she feels, it's supposed to be) are Angelique and Quentin.  But Quentin is trapped in the year 1850 ... but an impossible 1850, with ancestors like Jessica and Bramwell Collins ... a son that Barnabas never had.  Laura is there as well, of course, married to Tad, scheming to destroy the Collins family ... and so Angelique slips back through time in order to bring back the world she once knew ...
