I'm on the road (in Lincoln, Nebraska, of all places), but I wanted to take a moment to wish my favorite show a happy 47th birthday! I came on board as a hardcore fan during the show's 25th anniversary. Feels like yesterday, doesn't it?

A Glimpse into 1840
I'll admit it -- not my favorite storyline. Repetitive in many ways -- an obvious retread of the success of the Beth/Quentin/Turn of the Screw story that was so successful in 1968 -- and frequently nonsensical (Edith is dead? Barnabas takes over his own body in the past via the I Ching, Angelique cures the past body, and then he returns with it to the present ... soooooo what about the 1970 body?) ... but there are some interesting performances, particularly from stalwarts Grayson Hall and Lara Parker.
