Dark Shadows (1966-1971) was a soap opera with an emphasis on the supernatural that has garnered a cult following in the years since it left the air. The introduction of Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) catapulted the series to enormous success, capturing the public's imagination in a way that continues to endure today. This online fanzine will provide a place for rare photos, articles, stories, artwork, and other multimedia as a tribute to the magic and mystery that is Dark Shadows.

Night of Dark Shadows: Claire Jenkins
Nancy Barrett, looking fabulous in Night of Dark Shadows. (As much as I love me some NODS, whenever I hear "Jenkins" I automatically think instead of Velma from Scooby Doo and her oft-repeated catchphrase.)

1841 Parallel Time: Catherine Harridge
I'm not sure how underwhelming the final Dark Shadows storyline -- dubbed "1841 Parallel Time" -- really is; I watched it for the first time last summer, but I don't remember much. The costumes, however, by Mary McKinley, actually stuck with me. I love the costumes of DS in general, but I thought they were especially creative and vibrant in the show's declining days.

1795: Angelique
Angelique is just misunderstood. Or, okay, she killed, she maimed, she destroyed one innocent life after another; doesn't she yearn ... and ache ... and shop? Wait. That was Debbie from Addams Family Values. Yeah, Angelique is totally misunderstood.
