Dark Shadows (1966-1971) was a soap opera with an emphasis on the supernatural that has garnered a cult following in the years since it left the air. The introduction of Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) catapulted the series to enormous success, capturing the public's imagination in a way that continues to endure today. This online fanzine will provide a place for rare photos, articles, stories, artwork, and other multimedia as a tribute to the magic and mystery that is Dark Shadows.

Lysette as Angelique
From Pomegranate's tribute to the 1991 revival, Dark Shadows Resurrected. Now don't get me wrong, I love me some Lara Parker, obviously, but I always enjoyed the crazy Lysette Anthony brought to the table.

MPI Presents the 1840 Flashback
Ah, those dim, dead days of the early 1990s, when MPI produced a series of Dark Shadows-related clip tapes, and I collected them voraciously. One of the only tapes I never purchased -- and probably because it never showed up in Woolworth's or Kmart, where I purchased Scariest Moments, as well as Best of Dark Shadows, Best of Dark Shadows 2, and The Best of Barnabas -- was Dark Shadows: 1840 Flashback. I always thought it would be clips as well from the entire storyline; instead, it presents two full episodes from early in the flashback, where Angelique returns, and Julia, at the urging of Leticia Faye, is possessed by Judah Zachery.
Not sure how this would encourage anyone to pickup the rest of the series, but I often had the same question about the clip tapes, love them though I do.
