Dark Shadows (1966-1971) was a soap opera with an emphasis on the supernatural that has garnered a cult following in the years since it left the air. The introduction of Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) catapulted the series to enormous success, capturing the public's imagination in a way that continues to endure today. This online fanzine will provide a place for rare photos, articles, stories, artwork, and other multimedia as a tribute to the magic and mystery that is Dark Shadows.

Dark Shadows Resurrected
I enjoyed Barbara Blackburn's Carolyn quite a lot as a child; I even wore a yellow sweater for awhile (I was but a wee, impressionable Montana 6th grader) in emulation of her Carolyn. I am less impressed what her as an adult, unfortunately.
I remain a devotee of Joanna Going's Victoria Winters, however.
And I can't help but love Jim Fyfe.

16 Magazine: Barnabas and Frid
This is one of my favorite of the 1960s teen magazine Dark Shadows pinups. Barnabas looks so menacing, and that bat in the background is hysterical. It's also the cover of the first of the Marilyn Ross Barnabas books, which I read over and over as a child just getting into DS.

Rare House of Dark Shadows
"Oh, I'm sorry, Roger; did you say something?"
Barnabas throttles the hell out of Carolyn; I had never seen this shot before.
The looming majesty that is Lyndhurst.
Grayson is singing and Joan is ... reacting?
More Dark Shadows Fan Art
Gorgeous. I feel like this once might have graced the cover of an old issue of the now sadly defunct World of Dark Shadows fanzine that I once collected with such glee. Sigh.
