Dark Shadows (1966-1971) was a soap opera with an emphasis on the supernatural that has garnered a cult following in the years since it left the air. The introduction of Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) catapulted the series to enormous success, capturing the public's imagination in a way that continues to endure today. This online fanzine will provide a place for rare photos, articles, stories, artwork, and other multimedia as a tribute to the magic and mystery that is Dark Shadows.

My Shade of Darkness!
Just quickly plugging my other blog, "My Shade of Darkness." I figure that a lot of Dark Shadows fans may share the same taste in other pop media that I do -- Bewitched, Batman, horror fiction (recent entries focused on the writings of Shirley Jackson and a bunch of photos of Tod Browning's 1931 Dracula), and pretty faces (with the occasional beefcake). If any of my Shadows on the Wall fans are interested, pop on over to myshadeofdarkness.blogspot.com!

Mrs. Rumson
It takes a very lot to be Angelique (or Miranda) (or Valerie) (or Cassandra) -- love potions, voodoo dolls, the endless pins ... anything it took to find love, or the semblance of same. Or vengeance. Or a new wardrobe. But just when it seemed as if she'd hung up her broom, gone the route of sister witch Samantha Stephens and married a man who loved her just for her, Our Favorite Witch finally plugged back in to the Powers of Darkness and became interesting again.
And she never stopped looking fabulous while she did it.
Our tribute, then, to Mrs. Angelique Rumson, the merry widow of Little Windward Island.
"How charming you look, Angelique. Black suits you well."
