I'll admit it -- not my favorite storyline. Repetitive in many ways -- an obvious retread of the success of the Beth/Quentin/Turn of the Screw story that was so successful in 1968 -- and frequently nonsensical (Edith is dead? Barnabas takes over his own body in the past via the I Ching, Angelique cures the past body, and then he returns with it to the present ... soooooo what about the 1970 body?) ... but there are some interesting performances, particularly from stalwarts Grayson Hall and Lara Parker.
And headless bodies freak me out no matter what.
I've always thought of the 1840 storyline being the Dark Shadows equivalent of a K-Tel Records Greatest Hits compilation.
