She destroyed her relationship with Quentin, ran off to Parallel Time to fix it, and was killed there, her body crumbled to dust, her spirit ... somewhere else. Barnabas returned without her, realized he was in love with Julia Hoffman, and proposed. But Quentin refused to give up on summoning his lost love back from whatever world she might now inhabit.
